Interested in joining the Board or a committee? We’re looking for passionate people to represent the Barn and help shape its future.
Jim Yelton has wanted to be a director most of his life. He has been lucky enough to live his dream by directing shows at the Barn, CEC, and with the Jackson Theatre Guild in Jackson, TN. Recent works have included CEC’s The Producers and the Barn’s productions of The Odd Couple (2023), The Mousetrap (2024), and The Shark is Broken (2025). His wonderful wife, Sonya, and two daughters, Andrea and Jamie, have allowed him to indulge his passion for Jaws, Star Wars/Trek, and other geeky/nerdy things…including local theatre.
Haley is originally from Branson, MO, where she first discovered her love of theatre… and sequins. Her most notable role to date was Violet Newstead in 9 to 5 at the Maplewood Barn in 2024. She recently appeared as Lysandra in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at MBCT and rocked out as Bridget in Lizzie at CEC. She enjoys working behind the scenes as well. She is looking forward to 2026, as this will be her first full season as a board member.
Laura grew up in Jefferson City with an arts-minded background – symphonic and marching band, and an occasional appearance on stage during theater productions. Over the past few summers, Maplewood Barn Community Theatre has become a second home filled with chosen family for both her and her spouse. She believes strongly in the community building benefits that come from community theater and has yet to see the Barn fail to achieve that sentiment. Outside of her time at the barn, Laura works as a trainer at Veterans United and spends her free time dabbling in fiber arts and board games. She is also in her seventh year leading a troop of Girl Scouts in Hallsville. She is excited to help continue to build kinship, camaraderie, and community amongst Barnies in her role on the Board of Directors.
Caitlin Drtina Rosbach first attended a Maplewood Barn production in 2008 and after graduating from Mizzou in 2011, she became involved in mid-Missouri’s theatre community, both on stage and behind the scenes. The Barn has been a special place for her ever since—not only as a creative outlet but also as the place where she met her partner. She’s grateful for the friendships and countless evenings spent at the Barn and looks forward to supporting its continued growth by serving on the Board of Directors.
Amanda has a lifelong love of theater and is so honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Maplewood Barn Community Theater. Amanda also serves as the Play Selection Committee Chair. She’s committed to helping to create memorable experiences for the community, for being part of a production brings her so much joy, and being able to share a piece of that joy with others is an act of love. Amanda is known for her no-nonsense attitude, but with a healthy dose of humility, and brings that personality into all she does.
Iyesatu’s involvement with Maplewood Barn began in 2023, when she was cast as Tituba in The Crucible. She sees her service on the board as an opportunity to share her love of theater with the community and to help perpetuate the welcoming, nurturing environment that made her fall in love with the Barn. When not indulging in her love of theater, Iyesatu works in healthcare and is passing on her love of the arts to her three sons.
Chris D. Mooney has been involved in theatre since high school, performing in productions like How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying and Fiddler on the Roof. Transitioning to backstage roles, he has worked on sound and lighting at Maplewood Barn since 2022. An award-winning film producer, he earned recognition at the 2025 Blood Horror Film Festival for his short film, Royal Retribution. Chris D. Mooney holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College and currently works as an Audiovisual Installer & Technician Specialist at the University of Missouri. He is excited to apply his technical skills and business knowledge to advance Maplewood Barn’s mission.
Lauren is a CoMo native and a theatrical enthusiast. Her first interaction with the Barn was when she was cast as Maila in Plan 9 from Outerspace. Ever since then, she’s considered herself as the resident goth. With a penchant for the creepy, the macabre, and all things offbeat, Lauren loves finding creative ways to make theater memorable while fostering an inclusive, welcoming community. When she’s not busy with Barn-tivities, you can usually find her at a local rock show, traveling to catch the next concert on a world tour, or hunting down the weirdest taxidermy.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre (1981, Bradley University, Peoria IL), Charlie has performed on most of the stages in Columbia. Now he begins his third term on Maplewood Barn Theatre’s Board of Directors. (“Just when I thought I was out, they drag me back in.”) Charlie brings his institutional theatrical knowledge and experience to Maplewood’s Board. The 2027 season will mark Charlie’s 20 year association with Maplewood. Here’s hoping they both last another 20 years.
