Our volunteer board and committee members keep the Barn thriving year-round by supporting shows, events, and our community.

Interested in joining the Board or a committee? We’re looking for passionate people to represent the Barn and help shape its future.

MD 2025
Mary “Morgan” Trousdale-Dennehy
President

Morgan has been a proud “Barnie” for more than a decade, both onstage and behind the scenes. She has directed productions including Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Lady Windermere’s Fan. She has also assisted on shows ranging from Julius Caesar to The Shark is Broken, and performed in The Fifth of July and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. As President of the Board of Directors, Morgan has led community-focused initiatives such as Popcorn for a Purpose, the #communityfirst initiative, and making the Barn a Partner in Education with the CPS Fine Arts Department. Beyond the Barn, she serves as District Manager for Junior Achievement of Central Missouri, bringing financial literacy and career readiness programs to students across the region. Morgan also sits on the Advisory Board of the Council for Unity, a national nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment.

JY 2025
Jim Yelton
Vice-President, Scholarships Chair

Jim Yelton has wanted to be a director most of his life. He has been lucky enough to live his dream by directing shows at the Barn, CEC, and with the Jackson Theatre Guild in Jackson, TN. Recent works have included CEC’s The Producers and the Barn’s productions of The Odd Couple (2023), The Mousetrap (2024), and The Shark is Broken (2025). His wonderful wife, Sonya, and two daughters, Andrea and Jamie, have allowed him to indulge his passion for Jaws, Star Wars/Trek, and other geeky/nerdy things…including local theatre.

JD 2025
John DeArmey
Treasurer, Development Chair

This is John’s second term at the Barn, serving as the Treasurer and Development Chair for the Board of Directors. He continues to serve the Board in this capacity to ensure the Barn lives on. He hopes, one day, to see his daughter, Serena, step onto the stage under the stars.

MO 2025
Melissa Old
Secretary, Production Chair

Melissa has been attending shows at The Barn since High School (trust me, a very long time!). She has been involved in shows, mainly behind the scenes, but occasionally on stage, since 2015 and joined the Board of Directors in 2021.

AS 2025
Amanda Swaim
Play Selection Chair

Amanda has a lifelong love of theater and is so honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Maplewood Barn Community Theater.  Amanda also serves as the Play Selection Committee Chair.  She’s committed to helping to create memorable experiences for the community, for being part of a production brings her so much joy, and being able to share a piece of that joy with others is an act of love.  Amanda is known for her no-nonsense attitude, but with a healthy dose of humility, and brings that personality into all she does.

LC 2025
Luke Cryer
Archivist, Volunteer Coordinator

Luke joined the Barn’s Board of Directors in 2023. Though his experience with the stage – both behind and on it – has been limited to undergraduate extracurricular projects, he’s always considered himself as, at least, thespian-adjacent. Luke serves as the Barn’s in-house archivist and chair of the volunteer coordinating committee. Outside of the Barn, Luke is studying for a PhD in History at the University of Missouri.

JC 2025
Julia Carney
Board Member

Julia Carney is proud to serve on the Maplewood Barn Board of Directors. You may have seen her on stage at the Barn as Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible or Miss Casewell in The Mousetrap. She has been involved in theatre for more than 20 years, and while she loves performing, she also has a strong passion for set design and participates in as many builds as she can. Julia enjoys the theatre community as a whole and has been part of productions at Talking Horse Productions and Columbia Entertainment Company. She currently works as a designer at Veterans United, and when she is not doing theatre or design, she enjoys painting, cooking, hiking, and reading.

JD 2025
Jason Delpire
Board Member

Jason joined the Barn’s Board of Directors in 2024 after serving a variety of roles in the mid-Missouri theatre community. Previously, he has directed for THP’s Starting Gate Short Works Series (2024, 2025) and at the Barn, served as Assistant Director (Lady Windermere’s Fan, 2024), stage manager (Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged and Importance of Being Earnest, 2025), and had a couple of acting roles: Vinny (The Odd Couple, 2023) and Fabian (Twelfth Night, 2023). In his everyday life, Jason works at the Columbia Public Library and the remaining time is spent picking up hobbies of the most random nature.

CDR 2025
Caitlin Drtina Rosbach
Board Member

Caitlin Drtina Rosbach first attended a Maplewood Barn production in 2008 and was hooked from the start. After graduating from Mizzou, she became involved in mid-Missouri’s theatre community, both on stage and behind the scenes. The Barn has been a special place for her ever since—not only as a creative outlet but also as the place where she met her partner. She’s grateful for the friendships and countless evenings spent at the Barn and looks forward to supporting its continued growth by serving on the Board of Directors.

LH 2025
Laura Howard
Board Member

Laura grew up in Jefferson City with an arts-minded background – symphonic and marching band, and an occasional appearance on stage during theater productions. Over the past few summers, Maplewood Barn Community Theatre has become a second home filled with chosen family for both her and her spouse. She believes strongly in the community building benefits that come from community theater and has yet to see the Barn fail to achieve that sentiment. Outside of her time at the barn, Laura works as a trainer at Veterans United and spends her free time dabbling in fiber arts and board games. She is also in her seventh year leading a troop of Girl Scouts in Hallsville. She is excited to help continue to build kinship, camaraderie, and community amongst Barnies in her role on the Board of Directors.

CJ 2025
Carson Jones
Board Member

Carson is a Maplewood Barn Board Member at large. When not helping out with shows, he can be found out in the community via volunteer work. Although the claim has yet to be independently verified, Carson boasts that he can dunk a basketball.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Haley Mullen
Board Member

Haley is originally from Branson, MO, where she first discovered her love of theatre… and sequins. Her most notable role to date was Violet Newstead in 9 to 5 at the Maplewood Barn in 2024. She recently appeared as Lysandra in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at MBCT and rocked out as Bridget in Lizzie at CEC. She enjoys working behind the scenes as well. She is looking forward to 2026, as this will be her first full season as a board member.
