\u00a02018 Children’s Camp<\/h2>\n

Registration for 2018 is Closed.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 2018 Children’s Summer Camp will be \u00a0 July 9th – 13th\u00a0 &\u00a0 16th – 20th. \u00a0This is a 2 week long day camp which will work on teaching children, ages 5-12, about the processes of the theatre.<\/p>\n

Come and introduce the young\u00a0theatre fans in your life to Maplewood Barn Theatre, in the Historic Nifong Park. This 2 week camp offers an exciting introduction into the production of a play from beginning to end. \u00a0The theatre based curriculum leads up to a performance piece for friends and family to attend during the last weekend of camp.<\/p>\n

Campers will learn about acting, staging, creating a character, costuming, creating props, creating a set, technical aspects, and also rehearse a short play to be performed at the end of camp. \u00a0Roles will be auditioned and assigned during the first few days of camp, and lead roles may be double-cast to increase the learning experience for all student performers.<\/p>\n

This camp is a great place to explore your interest in performing and learning about theatre. All campers will have a role in the production, that is being rehearsed, and have an opportunity to SHINE.<\/p>\n

The camp will end July 21st and 22nd, with a performance of the show at 2:00 pm\u00a0each day. This year the kids are putting on a production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!<\/p>\n
