Robert Klick… began his love of music and theater at an early age being cast in his first major production, Oliver! , in the 4th grade.
From there he performed in choirs, musicals, concerts and show choirs throughout middle school and high school. After a 13 year hiatus; in which he met his wife, earned his degrees and still sang in the church choir. He was then cast as Jeff in Plan 9, the Musical from Outer Space, an original production of the Maplewood Barn, and his love of theater was rekindled.
Since then he has taken on his greatest role, that of dad, and has performed in other local productions including; Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Adam’s Eve, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid. Robert has also been on stage for several productions of the Maplewood Barn Radio Theatre.
Being on stage is Robert’s first love but he can often be seen behind the scenes working on set builds and strikes, lights and sound, as well as other production aspects, however, very rarely is he seen with a paintbrush in his hand painting, it is sadly not one of his gifts.
Robert is ecstatic to be chosen to direct Maplewood’s Production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He is ready for the opportunity to meet new people, create fantastic art and grow the Maplewood Barn family.
