The Tragedy of Hamlet

AUDITIONS:
JUNE 20 & 21 from 7pm to 9:30pm at Maplewood Barn Community Theatre in Nifong Park

Come be a part of the final show of the Maplewood Barn’s 49th season: Good Grief.

We hope to produce a version of Hamlet that reflects the beautiful diversity of our community. We are looking to have a diverse cast; featuring actors who would normally not be cast in a traditional Shakespeare production.   All are welcome to audition, and we especially invite people of color, female identifying individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to join us as we present Hamlet in a completely new fashion.

Auditions will consist of monologues and cold readings from the script.

Performances are Thurs-Sunday evenings Aug 25-28, Sept 1-4, and 8-11. 

The role of Claudius/The Ghost will be played by Richard Harris. All other roles are open.
