Cara Carter is absolutely thrilled to be directing one of her bucket list shows, The Crucible! Cara has previously directed 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche at The Warehouse Theatre (located on Stephens College’s campus) in 2018, A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Columbia Entertainment Company in 2019, and The Smell of the Kill at Talking Horse Theatre in 2022. She also has experience in acting, costume design, sound design, and stage management.
Cara serves on the board of directors at the Maplewood Barn as the chairman for the Willy Wilson Scholarship Committee. When she’s not at the theatre, Cara works at Rock Bridge High School as the fine arts department secretary, and is currently pursuing a masters degree in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum with an emphasis in Social Studies and a minor in Theatre. Cara looks forward to bringing The Crucible to life at the Barn for the first time since 1992, and is immensely grateful for the opportunity to direct during the Barn’s 50th season!
